While it is true that excessive salt intake can lead to health problems like high blood pressure, it is important to remember that salt itself is not the enemy. The issue lies more with the excessive consumption of processed foods that are loaded with hidden salts and preservatives. In fact, consuming too little salt can also have negative consequences, as our bodies need a certain amount of sodium to function properly. The key is to strike a balance and consume salt in moderation, preferably from natural sources like sea salt or Himalayan salt. By incorporating real, whole foods into our diet and avoiding processed foods, we can ensure that we are getting the right amount of salt without going overboard. It is all about making informed choices and being mindful of what we put into our bodies.
