My body is a temple, but it's made of pizza from "summary" of Food: A Love Story by Jim Gaffigan

My body is a temple. At least, that's what people say. It's supposed to be a sacred place, a sanctuary for health and well-being. A place to be respected, honored, and taken care of. But let's be honest, my body is more like a rundown roadside carnival than a pristine temple. It's a mishmash of questionable choices, random acts of indulgence, and a general lack of maintenance. I mean, sure, I try to eat well. I really do. I know all about the food pyramid, the importance of fruits and vegetables, the dangers of processed foods. But when it comes down to it, there's nothing I love more than a greasy, cheesy, delicious slice of pizza. It's like a warm hug from the inside out. And who doesn't love hugs? So, yeah, my body is a temple. A temple made of pizza. And you know what? I'm okay with that. I've come to terms with the fact that I will never be a health nut, a fitness guru, or a kale enthusiast. I'm just a guy who loves to eat. And if that means my temple is constructed out of pepperoni and mozzarella, so be it. Some people might judge me for my dietary choices. They might say I'm not taking care of myself, that I'm not respecting my body, that I'm not living up to my full potential. But you know what? I'm happy. I'm content. I'm satisfied. And isn't that what life is all about? So go ahead, judge me if you want. But as long as there's a hot, gooey pizza waiting for me at the end of the day, I'll be just fine.
