When we resist what is, we create suffering for ourselves. When we constantly wish for things to be different, we are not fully present in the moment. Acceptance of the present moment is the key to inner peace and contentment. It is the act of acknowledging and embracing what is, without judgment or resistance. It does not mean that we passively accept destructive or harmful situations, but rather that we acknowledge the reality of the present moment without adding unnecessary suffering to it. When we accept what is, we let go of the need for things to be different. We stop fighting against reality and instead, we surrender to the flow of life. This surrender does not mean weakness or defeat, but rather a deep sense of trust in the unfolding of life.
