Self-compassion is key to healing. It is not just a nice idea or a feel-good concept – it is a crucial factor in our physical and emotional well-being. When we are compassionate towards ourselves, we are able to acknowledge our pain and suffering without judgment or criticism. This self-compassion allows us to truly see ourselves, to accept ourselves as we are, flaws and all. When we are able to offer ourselves this kind of compassion, we are able to heal on a deep level.
