Avoid comparing yourself to others from "summary" of The Financial Diet by Chelsea Fagan,Lauren Ver Hage

It can be tempting to look around at what other people have - whether it's a fancy car, a designer wardrobe, or an Instagram-worthy vacation - and feel like you're coming up short. But constantly comparing yourself to others is a surefire way to feel dissatisfied with your own life. When you fixate on what other people have, you lose sight of your own goals and accomplishments. Instead of measuring your success against someone else's, focus on your own progress and growth. Set your own standards for what you want to achieve, and work towards those goals at your own pace. Remember that everyone's journey is different, and comparing yourself to others only serves to undermine your own unique path. It's important to recognize that what you see on the surface is often not the whole picture. People tend to show off their best selves on social media, but that doesn't mean they don't have their own struggles and insecurities. By fixating on what others have, you're only seeing a small part of the story - and it's not a fair comparison to make. Instead of looking outward for validation, turn your focus inward. Take stock of your own strengths and accomplishments, and celebrate the progress you've made towards your own goals. Cultivate a sense of gratitude for what you have, rather than focusing on what you lack in comparison to others. Remember that success is not a one-size-fits-all concept. What works for someone else may not necessarily work for you, and that's okay. Stay true to your own values and priorities, and trust that your unique journey will lead you to where you're meant to be. Comparing yourself to others will only hold you back from embracing your own path and reaching your full potential.
