Perfectionism is a dirty word in my world. It's the enemy of progress, the nemesis of productivity, the assassin of creativity. And it's a goddamn liar. Perfectionism tells us that if we can't do something perfectly, we shouldn't do it at all. It convinces us that unless everything is flawless, it's all a waste of time. But here's the thing: perfection is an illusion. It's an unattainable goal, a mirage in the desert of life. And chasing after it will only leave you thirsty and exhausted. Letting go of perfectionism doesn't mean lowering your standards or settling for mediocrity. It means accepting that perfection is an impossible standard, and that striving for it will only hold you back.
