Practice selfcompassion every day from "summary" of The Self-Love Experiment by Shannon Kaiser

To truly cultivate self-compassion, we must practice it every single day. This means showing ourselves the same kindness and understanding that we would offer to a dear friend. It means being gentle with ourselves when we make mistakes, rather than beating ourselves up. It means recognizing that we are only human, and that it is okay to have flaws and imperfections. Self-compassion also involves letting go of the need to be perfect, and embracing ourselves exactly as we are. It means acknowledging our worthiness and deservingness of love and respect, simply by virtue of being alive. It means treating ourselves with the same level of care and consideration that we would give to someone we deeply care about. When we practice self-compassion every day, we are able to cultivate a deep sense of self-love and acceptance. We are able to let go of the constant self-criticism and judgment that often plagues our minds, and instead embrace ourselves with open arms. We are able to forgive ourselves for our past mistakes, and move forward with a sense of peace and wholeness. By showing ourselves compassion on a daily basis, we are able to build a strong foundation of self-love that can carry us through life's ups and downs. We are able to weather the storms of self-doubt and insecurity, knowing that we are always there for ourselves. We are able to live with a sense of kindness and generosity towards ourselves, and extend that same compassion to others. So let us commit to practicing self-compassion every day, in both big and small ways. Let us speak to ourselves with kindness and understanding, and treat ourselves with the love and respect we truly deserve. Let us embrace our imperfections and flaws, knowing that they are what make us beautifully human. And let us remember that self-compassion is not a luxury, but a necessity for living a truly fulfilling and authentic life.
