Practice mindfulness from "summary" of Don't Overthink It by Anne Bogel

Mindfulness is a simple concept, but it can be surprisingly hard to put into practice. It's about staying present in the moment and being aware of what's happening around you and inside you. It sounds easy enough, but in our fast-paced world, it can be a real challenge. One way to practice mindfulness is to pay attention to your surroundings and really take them in. Notice the colors, the sounds, the smells. Feel the ground beneath your feet or the breeze on your skin. Engage all your senses and stay focused on the present moment. Another way to practice mindfulness is to pay attention to your thoughts and feelings without judgment. When you notice yourself getting caught up in worries or regrets, gently redirect your focus back to the present. Acknowledge your thoughts and feelings without getting swept away by them. Mindfulness can also be practiced through simple activities like walking, eating, or breathing. Focus on each step, each bite, each breath. Stay fully engaged in the moment and let go of distractions. By practicing mindfulness regularly, you can train your mind to stay present and calm, even in stressful situations. It takes time and effort, but the benefits are worth it. So slow down, take a deep breath, and stay mindful.
