Mindfulness is not about avoiding or suppressing certain thoughts or feelings that arise. It is about being open and accepting of whatever comes up in our minds and bodies. When we practice mindfulness, we allow ourselves to observe our thoughts and emotions without judgment or attachment. This means that we do not label our experiences as good or bad, right or wrong. Instead, we simply acknowledge them as they are, without trying to change or fix them. Being open to whatever arises requires us to cultivate a sense of curiosity and non-reactivity.
