Stress negatively impacts memory retention from "summary" of Unlimited Memory by Kevin Horsley

This can make it difficult to access important information when we need it, as our brains are too preoccupied with stress-induced negative thoughts.- It is clear that stress can have a major impact on our memory retention. By managing our stress levels and finding healthy ways to cope with stress, we can improve our ability to learn new things and remember important information. It is essential to prioritize stress management in order to optimize our memory retention and cognitive function.
