Use gratitude to shift your focus to what you want, not what you lack from "summary" of THE MAGIC by Rhonda Byrne

Let's say you're standing in a garden, and there are two trees in front of you. One tree is full of ripe, juicy fruits, while the other tree has barely any fruit on its branches. If you were to focus all your attention on the tree with little fruit, thinking about what it lacks, you would miss out on the abundance of fruits waiting for you on the other tree. This is similar to how we sometimes approach life - we tend to focus on what we lack or what is missing, instead of being grateful for what we already have. When we shift our focus to gratitude, our perspective changes. We start to see all the blessings and abundance that surround us, rather than what we perceive to be missing. By acknowledging and appreciating the good things in our lives, we attract more of the same. Gratitude is like a magnet that draws in more positivity and abundance. It shifts our energy from lack to abundance, from negativity to positivity. When we express gratitude for what we have, we are essentially telling the universe that we are ready to receive more of the same. Our focus shifts from scarcity to abundance, from lack to plenty. We begin to see opportunities where we once saw obstacles, and we start to notice blessings we may have overlooked before. Gratitude opens our eyes to the richness of life and the endless possibilities that lie ahead. So, the next time you catch yourself focusing on what you lack, try shifting your perspective by practicing gratitude. Take a moment to appreciate the blessings in your life, no matter how big or small they may seem. By cultivating an attitude of gratitude, you invite more abundance, joy, and fulfillment into your life. Remember, what you focus on expands, so why not focus on the blessings that surround you?
