Let go of the need for approval from others from "summary" of The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz,Janet Mills
When we seek approval from others, we give away our power. We allow their opinions to dictate how we feel about ourselves. We become dependent on their validation, constantly seeking their approval to feel worthy. This need for approval creates a cycle of seeking external validation to fill a void within ourselves. We are constantly looking outside of ourselves for reassurance, never finding true fulfillment. By letting go of the need for approval from others, we free ourselves from this cycle. We no longer rely on external validation to feel worthy. We realize that our worth comes from within, not from others' opinions or judgments. We trust in ourselves and our own judgment, knowing that we are enough just as we are. When we release the need for approval, we also release the fear of rejection. We no longer fear being judged or criticized by others because we know our worth is not dependent on their approval. We can confidently express ourselves without seeking validation from others. We are free to be authentic and true to ourselves, regardless of others' opinions. Letting go of the need for approval allows us to live authentically and in alignment with our true selves. We no longer compromise our values or beliefs to please others. We trust in our own worth and no longer seek validation from external sources. We are empowered to live our lives on our own terms, without the need for approval from others.Similar Posts
