Boost motivation by counting down from "summary" of The 5 Second Rule by 5 Second Rule
When you feel yourself hesitating or making excuses, try this: Count down 5-4-3-2-1 in your mind, and then physically move. Counting down interrupts the habit of overthinking. It also prompts your mind to focus on the goal you want to accomplish, not the reasons you're avoiding it. The counting helps you shift from the part of your brain that's scared or procrastinating to the part that knows you need to act. It also breaks the habit of worrying and increases your ability to take action. You're not going to feel like doing things that are difficult or that scare you. That's normal. When you feel yourself hesitate before doing something that you know you should do, count 5-4-3-2...Similar Posts
