Overthinking can lead to anxiety from "summary" of Overthinking by Jon Power

When we find ourselves overthinking, our minds become entangled in a web of endless thoughts, scenarios, and possibilities. We become trapped in a cycle of analyzing every detail, second-guessing every decision, and worrying about every outcome. Our thoughts spiral out of control, leading us down dark paths of uncertainty and fear. As we overthink, we become hyper-focused on the negative aspects of a situation, blowing things out of proportion and creating problems that may not even exist. We become consumed by our thoughts, unable to break free from the relentless cycle of overanalyzing and ruminating. Our minds become overwhelmed with doubt, insecurity, and self-criticism. This incessant overthinking can take a toll on our mental well-being, causing feelings of stress, anxiety, and even panic.
