When we begin to practice mindfulness, we start to become aware of the negative patterns that have been running our lives. These patterns have been so deeply ingrained in our minds that we often don't even realize they are there. But through mindfulness, we can shine a light on these patterns and see them for what they truly are. By bringing our attention to the present moment, we can observe these negative patterns as they arise. We can see how they affect our thoughts, emotions, and actions. And most importantly, we can see the suffering that they bring into our lives. As we continue to practice mindfulness, we start to develop a sense of detachment from these negative patterns. We realize that we are not defined by them, that they are not who we truly are. And with this realization comes a sense of freedom.
