Eddie Ball is a twelve-year-old kid who lives in the small town of Middletown. He's the kind of kid who's always thinking about basketball. His room is filled with posters of famous NBA players and he spends every spare minute shooting hoops in his backyard. Eddie dreams of becoming a basketball star one day, but right now his biggest problem is that he can't seem to make a shot from the three-point line. Eddie's life takes an unexpected turn when he wins a million-dollar prize in a shooting contest. The prize is sponsored by the National Basketball Association and all Eddie has to do is sink a basket from the three-point line during halftime at a big NBA game.
