Let go of perfectionism from "summary" of Love for Imperfect Things by Haemin Sunim
Perfectionism is a heavy burden to carry. It is like a never-ending race with oneself, always striving for an unattainable ideal. We set impossibly high standards for ourselves and judge ourselves harshly when we inevitably fall short. This constant need to be perfect can cause immense stress and anxiety, leading to feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. To let go of perfectionism is to release ourselves from this self-imposed prison. It is a radical act of self-love and self-compassion. It is acknowledging that we are human, with flaws and imperfections, and that it is okay to not be perfect. When we let go of perfectionism, we free ourselves to be authentic and true to who we are. Embracing imperfection is a liberating experience. It allows us to embrace our vulnerabilities and accept ourselves as we are. It is a reminder that we are worthy of love and belonging...Similar Posts
