Motivation comes from within from "summary" of Living with a SEAL by Jesse Itzler

Motivation is a tricky thing. It's personal. It's unique. And it's different for everyone. What motivates one person may not motivate another. That's why it's essential to understand that motivation comes from within. It's something that resides deep within us, waiting to be unleashed. When we rely on external sources for motivation, we're setting ourselves up for disappointment. Sure, external factors can provide temporary boosts, but true motivation - the kind that pushes us to go the extra mile, to push through the pain, to keep going when everything in us wants to quit - that kind of motivation can only come from within. Living with a SEAL taught me the power of self-motivation. SEAL, with his relentless drive and unwavering commitment, showed me that true motivation doesn't come from a pep talk or a motivational speech. It comes from a deep, internal desire to succeed. It's about tapping into that inner fire, that burning passion that propels us forward, even when the going gets tough. When we understand that motivation comes from within, we free ourselves from the limitations of relying on external factors. We become self-reliant, self-sufficient, and self-motivated. We no longer need someone else to light a fire under us; we become the ones who light the fire ourselves. So, the next time you find yourself lacking motivation, remember this: the power to motivate yourself lies within you. It's up to you to tap into that power, to harness it, and to use it to drive yourself towards your goals. Because when you realize that true motivation comes from within, there's nothing you can't achieve.
