We live in a world where victimhood has become a currency. You see it everywhere - on social media, in the news, even in our personal relationships. People compete to see who can claim the title of the biggest victim, as if it were a badge of honor. But what we fail to realize is that this constant need to play the victim only perpetuates a cycle of powerlessness and self-pity. Society tells us that we are entitled to certain things, that we deserve to be treated a certain way. And when those expectations are not met, we are encouraged to blame others for our misfortunes. This mentality breeds a sense of helplessness and dependence on external forces to validate our feelings of victimhood.
