Avoid negative selftalk from "summary" of Change Your Words, Change Your Life by Joyce Meyer

Negative self-talk is one of the most destructive habits we can have. It is amazing how many people will say things to themselves that they would never say to someone else. We need to be kind to ourselves in our thoughts and words. When we say negative things about ourselves, we are basically telling ourselves that we are not good enough. We are putting ourselves down and reinforcing negative beliefs about ourselves. This can have a huge impact on our self-esteem and confidence. It is important to be aware of our thoughts and words and to challenge any negative self-talk. We need to replace those negative thoughts with positive affirmations. We need to speak words of encouragement and love to ourselves. Changing our self-talk takes practice. It is not something that will happen overnight. We need to be patient with ourselves and give ourselves grace as we work on changing this habit. It may feel awkward at first to speak kindly to ourselves, but over time it will become more natural. Remember, we have the power to change our thoughts and words. We can choose to speak life and positivity over ourselves. We can choose to be our own biggest cheerleader. So let's work on eliminating negative self-talk and replacing it with words of love and affirmation.
