Change your questions, change your life from "summary" of Change Your Questions, Change Your Life Workbook by Marilee Adams PhD,Andrea F. Lipton

The key concept of changing your questions to change your life is grounded in the idea that the questions we ask ourselves and others can have a profound impact on the way we perceive and experience the world. By becoming more aware of the questions we are asking and learning how to ask more empowering and constructive questions, we can shift our mindset, behavior, and ultimately our outcomes. Questions can either be limiting or expansive, depending on their focus and intention. Limiting questions often come from a place of judgment, blame, or victimhood, and tend to keep us stuck in unproductive patterns of thinking and behavior. On the other hand, expansive questions come from a place of curiosity, possibility, and learning, and can open up new pathways for growth, creativity, and transformation. When we learn how to shift from limiting questions to expansive questions, we not only change the way we think and feel, but also how we act and engage with the world around us. Instead of asking "Why is this happening to me?" we can ask "What can I learn from this situation?" Instead of asking "Whose fault is this?" we can ask "What can I do to improve the situation?" By reframing our questions in a more positive and proactive way, we can take ownership of our experiences and create new opportunities for growth and fulfillment. The process of changing our questions begins with self-awareness and mindfulness. We must first notice the questions we are habitually asking ourselves and others, and become curious about the impact they are having on our emotions, beliefs, and actions. Once we have identified our limiting questions, we can begin to challenge and reframe them, replacing them with more empowering and constructive alternatives. This process is not always easy, as our habitual ways of thinking and questioning are deeply ingrained and can be resistant to change. However, with practice and persistence, we can cultivate a new mindset that is characterized by curiosity, openness, and resilience. By learning to ask better questions, we can unlock new possibilities, deepen our relationships, and create a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
