Let go of worries about the future from "summary" of You Are Here by Thich Nhat Hanh

In our daily lives, we often find ourselves caught up in worries about the future. We become preoccupied with what might happen tomorrow or next week, and we forget to fully engage with the present moment. We lose touch with the beauty and wonder that is right in front of us, and we miss out on the opportunities for joy and connection that are available to us right now. When we let go of worries about the future, we free ourselves from the burden of anxiety and fear. We release the tension that comes from constantly trying to control what has not yet come to pass. We open ourselves up to the possibility of experiencing peace and contentment in the here and now. By practicing mindfulness and being fully present in each moment, we can learn to let go of worries about the future. We can cultivate a sense of calm and acceptance that allows us to navigate whatever challenges may come our way with grace and resilience. When we stop projecting our fears and anxieties onto the future, we create space for clarity and insight to arise. We can see more clearly the choices and opportunities that are available to us in the present moment. We can make decisions based on wisdom and compassion, rather than on fear and uncertainty. Letting go of worries about the future does not mean that we ignore our responsibilities or avoid planning for the future altogether. It simply means that we approach the future with a sense of openness and curiosity, rather than with a sense of dread or apprehension. When we let go of worries about the future, we are able to fully engage with the richness and beauty of life as it unfolds before us. We can savor the small moments of joy and connection that are always available to us, and we can face whatever challenges come our way with courage and grace.
