In my opinion, there is no excuse for abuse. It doesn't matter how much someone loves you or how good they are to you when they aren't hurting you. If they hurt you once, they will hurt you again. And again. And again. And each time, it will hurt more. It will hurt worse. The pain will become unbearable, but you will bear it. You will bear it because you love them. Because you believe they love you. You will make excuses for their behavior. You will blame yourself. You will tell yourself that you deserve it. But you don't. No one deserves to be abused. No one has the right to make you feel small, unworthy, insignificant. You are worth more than that. You deserve better than that. You deserve to be loved. Truly loved. Completely loved. Unconditionally loved. And abuse is not love. It is the opposite of love. It is control. It is manipulation. It is power. It is fear. It is pain. It is suffering.
