The body speaks its mind. Sometimes quite literally. The physical manifestations of illness can often be traced back to emotional and psychological stressors. When we fail to set boundaries in our lives, be it with work, relationships, or other stressors, we are essentially allowing our bodies to bear the burden of our emotions. Our bodies, in their infinite wisdom, will try to communicate with us, to tell us that something is wrong. And when we ignore these messages, when we push ourselves past our limits, our bodies will rebel. Setting boundaries is not about being selfish or uncaring. It is about recognizing our own needs and limitations. It is about saying no when we need to, and saying yes when it truly serves us. Without boundaries, we risk compromising our health and well-being. We risk losing touch with ourselves and our true desires....
