Embrace discomfort from "summary" of Unfu*k Yourself by Gary John Bishop

The truth is that you're going to have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable if you want to make any kind of change in your life. You see, growth doesn't happen in the comfort zone. It happens when you're willing to push past that zone and into the unknown. It's in those moments of discomfort that you truly begin to challenge yourself and break free from old patterns and limiting beliefs. When you embrace discomfort, you're essentially saying to yourself, "I am willing to face my fears head on. I am willing to step outside of what is familiar and safe." It's a bold declaration that you are ready to take control of your life and make things happen. Sure, it's not easy. It's going to be hard. But guess what? You're capable of handling hard things. You've done it before and you can do it again. So, the next time you feel that familiar pang of discomfort creeping in, don't shy away from it. Lean into it. Embrace it. See it as a sign that you're on the right track. That you're pushing yourself to grow and evolve. And remember, discomfort is not a sign that something is wrong. It's a sign that something is happening. Something big and important. Don't run from it. Face it head on and watch as your life begins to transform before your very eyes.
