Mind is the barrier to truth from "summary" of The Secret of Secrets by Osho
The mind is a great barrier to truth. It is cunning, it is clever, it is calculating. It is constantly chattering, chattering, chattering. And in the midst of all this noise, truth remains hidden, obscured, invisible. The mind is like a cloud that covers the sun. It creates a veil that separates us from reality, from the essence of existence. It is always looking for meaning, for answers, for explanations. But in its very search, it misses the point altogether. Truth is not something that can be grasped by the mind. It is not a concept to be understood, analyzed, dissected. Truth is a direct experience, a moment of pure awareness, a glimpse of the divine. And the mind, with all its intellect, with all its knowledge, with all its wisdom, is simply not equipped to handle such an experience. The mind is a tool, a useful tool, but it is not the ultimate arbiter of truth. It is limited, it is finite, it is conditioned by time and space. And truth, by its very nature, is infinite, eternal, beyond all limitations. To experience truth, one must go beyond the mind. One must transcend the constant chatter, the incessant noise, the never-ending stream of thoughts. One must become still, silent, empty. Only then can truth reveal itself, only then can one truly understand the secret of secrets. So, let go of the mind. Let go of all your ideas, all your beliefs, all your concepts. Be like a child, innocent, curious, open. And in that innocence, in that openness, you will find the truth that has been hiding in plain sight all along.Similar Posts
