Be willing to confront buried emotions from "summary" of The Presence Process by Michael Brown

When we embark on the journey of emotional healing, we must be prepared to face the parts of ourselves that we have buried deep within. These buried emotions are often painful, uncomfortable, and challenging to confront. However, they hold the key to our healing and growth. By acknowledging and accepting these buried emotions, we can begin to release their hold on us and move towards a state of greater peace and wholeness. It is natural to want to avoid facing these buried emotions, as they can bring up feelings of shame, guilt, and vulnerability. We may have spent years pushing these emotions down, pretending they don't exist, or distracting ourselves with other things. But the truth is, these buried emotions are still there, silently influencing our thoughts, behaviors, and relationships.
