Release judgment and resistance from "summary" of The Power of Now Journal by Eckhart Tolle
When you release judgment, you let go of the constant labeling and categorizing that the mind tends to do. You stop placing people and situations into mental boxes, which allows you to see them as they truly are, without the filter of your preconceived notions. This opens up the possibility for true connection and understanding, as you are no longer clouded by your own judgments. Similarly, when you release resistance, you stop fighting against the present moment. You accept things as they are, rather than wishing they were different. This doesn't mean that you passively resign yourself to a situation that is harmful or unhealthy; rather, it means that you stop expending energy on futile resistance and instead focus on taking positive action. When you stop resisting, you free up a tremendous amount of energy that can be used more productively. Judgment and resistance are often intertwined, as judgment can lead to resistance and vice versa. When you let go of both, you create space for peace and clarity in your mind. You become more present in the moment, as you are no longer caught up in the whirlwind of thoughts and emotions that judgment and resistance can bring. This allows you to fully experience life as it unfolds, without being weighed down by the burden of your own mental constructs. Releasing judgment and resistance is a practice that requires awareness and intention. It is not always easy, as the mind has a tendency to slip back into old patterns of thinking. However, with diligence and patience, you can cultivate a mindset of acceptance and openness. This will not only benefit your own well-being, but also contribute to a more harmonious and compassionate world.Similar Posts
