By cultivating a sense of curiosity, we can start to uncover patterns and triggers that may be influencing our eating behaviors. When we approach our eating habits with curiosity, we can begin to notice things that we may have never paid attention to before. This could include the emotions that arise when we eat, the physical sensations we experience while eating, or the thoughts that go through our minds before, during, and after a meal. By becoming more aware of these aspects of our eating habits, we can start to make connections between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Curiosity allows us to take a step back and observe our eating habits without judgment. Instead of criticizing ourselves for our choices, we can simply observe them with a sense of wonder and openness. This can create space for us to learn more about ourselves and our relationship with food, without getting caught up in feelings of guilt or shame.
