Influence is not about manipulation or control. It is not about forcing people to act in a certain way or making them do something against their will. True influence is much more subtle and powerful than that. It is about inspiring and motivating others to willingly follow your lead. It is about building trust, respect, and credibility with those around you. When you try to manipulate or control others, you may get them to do what you want in the short term, but you will not earn their loyalty or commitment. People will resent being forced to comply with your demands, and they will not be inspired to give their best effort. On the other hand, when you influence others in a positive way, they will be more likely to trust you and to support your goals.
