Use mindfulness to enhance your relationships with others from "summary" of The Headspace Guide to Meditation and Mindfulness by Andy Puddicombe

When we talk about enhancing our relationships with others, we often think about what we can do or say to improve them. We might consider changing our behavior, offering more support, or being more attentive. These are all important aspects of building strong connections with those around us, but there is another key ingredient that we often overlook: mindfulness. Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present in the moment, aware of our thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judgment. By bringing mindfulness into our interactions with others, we can cultivate deeper connections and more meaningful relationships. When we are fully present with someone, we are able to listen more attentively, communicate more effectively, and respond more thoughtfully. We can also let go of distractions and worries that might otherwise interfere with our interactions, allowing us to focus on the here and now.
