This can be seen in situations where individuals stand their ground and confront a threat head-on. On the other hand, the flight response leads to a surge in adrenaline that prompts individuals to flee from danger. This instinctual reaction is often seen in situations where escape is perceived as the best course of action. In some cases, the freeze response may be triggered, causing individuals to become immobilized and unable to take action. This reaction is believed to be a defense mechanism that allows individuals to blend in with their surroundings and avoid detection by predators. While the fight and flight responses are more commonly observed, the freeze response is also a valid survival strategy that can help individuals survive in dangerous situations.
