Prophet Nuh's mission from "summary" of Stories of the Prophets by Ismāʻīl ibn ʻUmar Ibn Kathīr
Prophet Nuh was sent as a messenger to his people. He called them to worship Allah alone and abandon the worship of idols. He warned them of the punishment that would befall them if they continued in their disbelief. Prophet Nuh conveyed the message to his people with wisdom and patience, hoping that they would heed his words and turn back to Allah. Despite facing much opposition and mockery from his people, Prophet Nuh remained steadfast in his mission. He spent years tirelessly calling his people to the truth, but only a few believed in him. The majority of his people stubbornly rejected his message and continued in their disobedience. Prophet Nuh pleaded with Allah to guide his people and save them from destruction. However, Allah had decreed that the disbelievers would be punished for their arrogance and rejection of the truth. Allah commanded Prophet Nuh to build an ark in preparation for the great flood that would destroy his people. Prophet Nuh obediently followed Allah's command and built the ark as a means of salvation for those who believed in him. He called upon his people to board the ark and seek Allah's forgiveness before it was too late, but they mocked him and refused to listen. When the floodwaters came, Prophet Nuh and those who believed in him were saved in the ark, while the disbelievers were drowned in the punishment of Allah. The flood served as a clear sign of Allah's power and a reminder of the consequences of rejecting the message of the prophets. Prophet Nuh's mission was a test of faith and perseverance, as he remained steadfast in delivering the message of Allah despite facing great challenges and opposition.Similar Posts
