Betrayal of Prophet Yahya from "summary" of Stories of the Prophets by Ismāʻīl ibn ʻUmar Ibn Kathīr
Prophet Yahya, also known as John the Baptist, was a righteous and pious prophet of God. He was the son of Prophet Zakariya, who was also a prophet. Yahya was known for his wisdom and devotion to God, and he was respected by the people for his teachings. Herodias reciprocated this interest and agreed to marry Herod Antipas, despite the fact that she was already married. This marriage was not only illegal but also immoral according to the laws of God. Prophet Yahya, being a righteous man, spoke out against this marriage and condemned Herod Antipas and Herodias for their sinful actions. He fearlessly proclaimed the truth and urged them to repent and seek forgiveness from God. However, Herod Antipas and Herodias were not pleased with Prophet Yahya's words and were angered by his condemnation of their actions. Herodias, in particular, harbored a deep grudge against Prophet Yahya and sought to silence him. Sh...Similar Posts
