Similarly, when we witness a crowd fleeing in panic, we are likely to follow suit without fully understanding the reason behind the chaos. This herd mentality is ingrained in our nature, shaping our choices and actions every day. The desire to conform and belong to a group drives us to align our behavior with the majority. We seek validation and security in numbers, believing that there is safety in following the crowd. This tendency is particularly strong when we are uncertain or when the situation is ambiguous.
