Embracing emotions allows for authentic expression from "summary" of Nonviolent Communication by Marshall B. Rosenberg

When we allow ourselves to fully embrace our emotions, we open the door to authentic expression. This means acknowledging and accepting our feelings without judgment or suppression. By giving ourselves permission to feel what we feel, we create space for genuine communication with others. When we try to deny or hide our emotions, we are not being true to ourselves. We put up barriers that prevent us from connecting with others in a meaningful way. Authentic expression requires us to be honest and open about how we are feeling, even if those feelings are difficult or uncomfortable.
