Junie B. learns about diversity from "summary" of Junie B. Jones Complete First Grade Collection by Barbara Park
In first grade, Junie B. Jones learned something very important. She learned about diversity. At first, Junie B. didn't know what diversity meant. But then her teacher, Mrs., said it means that everyone is different in their own way. Junie B. thought about this for a minute. She looked around the classroom and saw that her classmates were all different. Some had brown hair, some had blonde hair. Some were tall, some were short. Some wore glasses, some didn't. Junie B. realized that diversity was all around her. She thought about her own family. Her mom was a nurse and her dad was a firefighter. They had different jobs, but they both loved her very much. Junie B. thought about her friends too. Lucille liked to dress up and be fancy, while Grace liked to play sports and get dirty. They were different, but they were still friends. As Junie B. thought more about diversity, she started to see how it made the world interesting. She liked that everyone was unique in their own way. It made things more fun and exciting. Junie B. decided that diversity was a good thing. She wanted to learn more about her classmates and their differences. She wanted to celebrate what made each of them special. From that day on, Junie B. looked at the world with new eyes. She saw diversity everywhere she went. And instead of being afraid of it, she embraced it. Junie B. realized that diversity was what made the world colorful and beautiful. And she was grateful for all the different people in her life. Junie B. Jones had learned an important lesson about diversity, and she was proud to carry it with her wherever she went.Similar Posts
