Taking turns and waiting patiently from "summary" of First Grade, Here I Come! by Tony Johnston
In our classroom, we learn about being patient and taking turns. When we play games or line up for lunch, we must wait our turn. It can be hard sometimes, but we know that patience is an important skill to have. We learn to take turns because it is fair for everyone. We wait patiently so that everyone has a chance. When it's our turn, we get to participate and have fun. We cheer on our friends as they take their turn, and we know that they will do the same for us. Waiting patiently teaches us to be considerate of others. It helps us to be kind and understanding. Taking turns also helps us to practice self-control. We learn to wait our turn without getting upset or frustrated. We know that our turn will come, and we can enjoy watching others in the meantime. It's a chance for us to learn and grow. In first grade, we are encouraged to be patient and respectful. We understand that taking turns is a part of life. It may not always be easy, but we know that it is the right thing to do. So we wait, and when our turn comes, we are ready.Similar Posts
