Stay grounded in the present moment from "summary" of Closer to Love by Vex King

The present moment is where life truly exists. It's the only reality we have, the only moment we're certain of. When we dwell too much on the past or worry too much about the future, we lose touch with what's happening right in front of us. We miss out on the beauty of the now. Staying grounded in the present moment means being fully aware of what's going on around us, noticing the sights, sounds, and sensations that make up our everyday experiences. It means letting go of regrets from the past and anxieties about the future, and focusing instead on what we can see, hear, smell, taste, and touch right now. When we stay present, we become more connected to ourselves and the world around us. We stop living in our heads, caught up in thoughts that may or may not be true. We start to appreciate the little moments that make life so special, like the warmth of the sun on our skin or the laughter of a loved one. Being present also helps us to make better decisions and respond more effectively to the challenges that come our way. When we're grounded in the now, we can see things more clearly and act with greater wisdom and compassion. We're less likely to be swayed by emotions or distracted by irrelevant concerns.
