The pigs, who were once oppressed by the humans on Manor Farm, had led a successful rebellion against their human masters. They had preached equality among all animals, declaring that all animals were equal. However, as time passed, the pigs began to acquire more power and privilege compared to the other animals on the farm. They started to justify their special treatment by claiming that they were the most intelligent and deserving of the animals. Slowly but steadily, the pigs started to indulge in behaviors that mirrored those of their former human oppressors.
