Animals live in misery from "summary" of Animal Farm by George Orwell
The animals on Manor Farm were oppressed and mistreated by the humans who ruled over them. They were forced to work long hours for little food, living in squalid conditions with no respite from their toil. The pigs, who were meant to lead and protect the other animals, instead exploited them for their own gain, taking more than their fair share of the resources and making the others work even harder to make up for it. As time went on, the animals began to realize the extent of their suffering and the injustice of their situation. They saw how the pigs lived in luxury while they struggled to survive, how their efforts were never enough to satisfy the greed of those in power.
