The skeletal system is like the framework of a building, providing structural support for the body. Just as a building needs a strong foundation to stand tall, our bodies rely on the skeletal system to keep us upright and able to move. Without this support, we would collapse into a heap of flesh and organs. But the skeletal system does more than just keep us from falling apart.
