Trust in the present moment is transformative from "summary" of Wherever You Go, There You Are by Jon Kabat-Zinn
Trust in the present moment is transformative. It is not something that can be forced or manufactured. It arises naturally when we allow ourselves to fully be with what is, without judgment or resistance. This kind of trust requires a deep commitment to being present, no matter what is happening in our lives. When we trust in the present moment, we are able to let go of the need to control everything. We surrender to the flow of life and accept things as they are, without trying to change or fix them. This doesn't mean that we become passive or indifferent. On the contrary, it allows us to respond to life with clarity and wisdom, rather than reacting out of fear or anxiety. Trust in the present moment also enables us to connect more deeply with ourselves and others. When we are fully present, we are able to listen with our whole being and respond with compassion and understanding. This kind of presence creates a space for healing and transformation to occur, both within ourselves and in our relationships with others. By cultivating trust in the present moment, we open ourselves up to new possibilities and experiences. We are no longer limited by our past conditioning or future worries. Instead, we are able to embrace the richness and fullness of life as it unfolds, moment by moment.- Trust in the present moment is a practice that requires patience and perseverance. It is not always easy, especially when faced with challenges or difficulties. But when we are able to trust in the present moment, we discover a deep sense of peace and fulfillment that is truly transformative.
