As time went on, I found myself opening up to him little by little. It wasn't easy, of course. Trust doesn't just magically appear out of thin air. It's something that has to be earned, and I had learned that the hard way. But he was patient, always there, never pushing too hard or too fast. He understood that I needed time, that I needed to take things slow. And slowly but surely, I began to let my guard down around him. Every shared moment, every whispered secret, every gentle touch, it all helped to chip away at the walls I had built around my heart. It was a delicate process, like rebuilding a house one brick at a time. There were times when I wanted to run, to retreat back into my shell where it was safe. But he was always there, a steady presence in my life, reminding me that I was not alone. And as the days turned into weeks, and the weeks turned into months, I began to realize that maybe, just maybe, I could trust him. Maybe I could let myself believe that he was different, that he wouldn't hurt me like others had done in the past. It was a scary thought, opening myself up to the possibility of being hurt again. But there was something about him, something that made me want to take that risk. So I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, and let myself fall. Fall into the unknown, into the uncertainty of trusting someone again. And as I did, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders, a burden that I had been carrying for far too long. It was a slow process, rebuilding that trust. But with him by my side, I knew that I could do it. I knew that I could let myself love again.
