You are not your thoughts from "summary" of The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer

Within each of us lies a continuous stream of thoughts, flowing endlessly like a river. These thoughts can be positive, negative, or neutral, but they are always present, chattering away in the background of our minds. Instead of getting caught up in the stories and dramas that your mind creates, you can simply observe them with a sense of curiosity and non-judgment. This practice allows you to create space between yourself and your thoughts, empowering you to choose which thoughts to engage with and which to let go of. Through this process of self-awareness and mindfulness, you can free yourself from the grip of your thoughts and experience a sense of liberation. You no longer have to be ruled by the endless stream of mental chatter; you can simply watch it flow by, knowing that you are the silent witness behind it all. In this way, you can discover a deeper sense of peace and inner freedom that transcends the limitations of the mind.
