Labor exploitation is widespread from "summary" of The Road To Wigan Pier by George Orwell

The omnipresent reality of labor exploitation is a harsh truth that cannot be ignored. It lurks in the shadows of factories, mines, and workshops, preying on the vulnerable workers who toil away in the hopes of earning a meager living. From dawn till dusk, they are subjected to back-breaking work, often for pitiful wages that barely sustain them. The owners and managers of these establishments, on the other hand, reap the benefits of their labor without a second thought to the hardships endured by those at the bottom of the pyramid. The exploitation of labor is not a rare occurrence confined to a few isolated incidents; rather, it is a widespread phenomenon that permeates every corner of society. It is deeply ingrained in the fabric of our economic system, which thrives on the exploitation of the working class. The inequalities between the haves and the have-nots are stark and glaring, with the former living in opulence while the latter struggle to make ends meet. The workers, who are the backbone of the economy, are treated as mere cogs in the machine, expendable and replaceable at a moment's notice. They are denied basic rights and dignity, forced to endure inhumane working conditions and long hours with little respite. The cycle of exploitation perpetuates itself, with each generation inheriting the same fate as their predecessors. In the face of such widespread exploitation, it is imperative that we as a society take a stand against such injustices. We must demand fair wages, safe working conditions, and respect for the dignity of all workers. Only by shining a light on the dark underbelly of labor exploitation can we hope to bring about real change and create a more just and equitable society for all.
