Start by decluttering one room at a time from "summary" of The Minimalist Home by Joshua Becker

Begin the process of decluttering your home by focusing on one room at a time. This approach will allow you to break down the overwhelming task of decluttering into manageable steps. By starting with one room, you can give your full attention to that space and make significant progress without feeling stressed or scattered. Choose a room that you spend a lot of time in or that causes you the most frustration. This could be your bedroom, living room, kitchen, or any other area that is in need of decluttering. By selecting a room that is important to you, you will be more motivated to see the decluttering process through to completion. Once you have chosen a room to declutter, begin by removing everything from that space. This may seem drastic, but it is an essential step in the decluttering process. By emptying the room, you can start with a clean slate and carefully evaluate each item as you decide what to keep, donate, or discard. As you go through each item, ask yourself if it serves a purpose or brings you joy. If the answer is no, it may be time to let go of that item. Be ruthless in your decision-making process and remember that decluttering is about creating a space that is intentional and free of unnecessary clutter. After you have sorted through all the items in the room, begin to organize the things you have chosen to keep. Find a place for each item that is logical and makes sense for how you use the space. Use storage solutions like bins, baskets, and shelves to keep things tidy and easily accessible. Once you have decluttered and organized one room, move on to the next space in your home. Repeat the process of removing everything, evaluating each item, and organizing what you choose to keep. By tackling one room at a time, you will gradually transform your home into a minimalist oasis that is both peaceful and functional.
