Death is a natural part of life from "summary" of The Essays by Michel de Montaigne

Death, that can only touch us once, cannot go wrong in its timing. We are always in the company of death, taking it with us wherever we go. It is not an enemy that we should fear, but a companion that walks alongside us throughout our entire lives. We must learn to accept death as a part of our existence, as natural as the changing of the seasons or the rising and setting of the sun. Death is not to be feared or avoided, but rather embraced as an inevitable truth of life. It is the great equalizer, touching both the high and the low, the rich and the poor, the young and the old. No one can escape its grasp, and it is only through accepting this fact that we can truly live our lives to the fullest. We must not mourn death as a tragedy, but rather celebrate it as a natural part of the cycle of life. Just as the leaves must fall from the trees in autumn to make way for new growth in the spring, so too must we pass from this life to make way for future generations. Death is not an end, but a new beginning, a transition from one state of being to another. By accepting death as a natural part of life, we can free ourselves from the fear and anxiety that often accompany thoughts of our own mortality. We can live each day fully and completely, knowing that our time on this earth is limited but also precious. Death is not to be feared, but rather embraced as a necessary and natural part of our existence.
