Nonverbal cues are powerful indicators of a person's true feelings, often speaking volumes more than the words that come out of their mouth. While spoken words can be manipulated and carefully chosen, nonverbal signals are more difficult to control or disguise. For example, a person may say they are happy, but their slumped shoulders, furrowed brow, and lack of eye contact may reveal their true feelings of sadness or disappointment. These nonverbal cues provide a more accurate reflection of their emotional state than their spoken words.
