Love is not merely a feeling, but an art that requires effort and courage. To truly love someone means to open oneself up completely, to be vulnerable and exposed. This vulnerability comes with the risk of rejection and disappointment. But it is also to open oneself up to the possibility of immense joy and connection. By risking rejection and disappointment, we allow ourselves to experience the full spectrum of human emotion and connection. Love is not always easy, but it is always worth the risk.
